The Bath House was created to provide high-quality childcare within a nurturing, caring and creative environment, for children to learn and develop to their full potential.
Staff listen to parent and carers, and value what they say, and how they want their children to be cared for. Parent involvement is also welcomed through joining the management committee as a Trustee, or helping with daily activities.
The staff role is to facilitate play, talking with the children, interacting, and supporting their learning. All children are treated with respect and given the freedom to choose activities for large parts of the day. Staff support children to develop positive relationships with other children.
Throughout the Bath House adults use respectful and non-judgemental language. Staff are expected to challenge negative attitudes to race, culture, gender or life choices and develop children’s self-esteem, acknowledging their families and their experiences.
The Bath House employs people from many different backgrounds, countries and cultures and understands that different people bring different strengths to the centre. We expect all staff and parents to treat each other with respect and sensitivity.
The supervisory staff and management will welcome your feedback and observations, so please feel able to discuss any issues or concerns that arise.
The Bath House has a commitment to support its entire staff in achieving these aims, by providing a very supportive working enviroment , training opportunities, supervision and career development.
